Chad Dillon, Beloved Restaurant Owner, Killed In Atlanta Shooting

Chad Dillon, a cherished Atlanta restaurant owner, was tragically killed in a shooting on Tuesday, July 23rd.

According to his attorney, Malcolm Conner, Chad Dillon was fatally shot near the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue NE, just before 3:50 p.m.

Atlanta police reported that they arrived at the scene to find a 33-year-old man, later identified as Chad Dillon, with apparent gunshot wounds. He was in critical condition before passing away.

Dillon was reportedly gunned down near his new Jamaican restaurant, which he was preparing to open soon. Police found a Rolls-Royce in the middle of the scene and confirmed that the shooting was a targeted attack. They are still searching for the suspect.

Chad Dillon was well-known for his successful venture, The Boiler Seafood & Crab Boil, which he opened in Buckhead in 2020.

Beyond his business achievements, Dillon was also recognized for his community efforts. In 2022, the restaurateur donated around $15,000 to help convicted felons reintegrate into society by starting their own businesses and spent 13 weeks teaching them essential social and business skills.
