GloRilla is now officially a key player in her hometown, Memphis.
On Sunday, Sept. 1, a.k.a. 901 Day (a nod to Memphis’ area code), the acclaimed rapper was presented with the key to the city, celebrating her success and connection to the Bluff City.

The ceremony, attended by Mayor Paul Young and a lively crowd of Memphians, celebrated GloRilla’s rise as one of the top female rappers of the moment.
The 25-year-old rapper shared her excitement on social media, stating:
“Memphis made me. Frayser raised me. I got da key to my cityyyyy ahhhhh Happy 901 day MEMPHIS!!!!!!”

This recognition comes after the release of her debut mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang, in April. The project, which features hits like Yeah Glo! and Wanna Be (featuring Megan Thee Stallion), saw both singles climb into the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100.
GloRilla also recently wrapped up a summer tour with Megan Thee Stallion, which generated over $16 million from just 12 of the 36 tour dates. Additionally, she received a notable mention in Beyoncé’s latest Instagram post, where she appeared alongside Megan Thee Stallion, further solidifying her place in the industry.
