Netflix Reportedly Skipping ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 8 Reunion Amid Chrishell Stause Threatening To Quit The Show

Selling Sunset fans won’t get their reunion fix this season—Netflix has decided to skip the Season 8 special.

The show’s 5th and 7th seasons featured reunions hosted by Tan France, which fans had come to expect. However, Netflix has confirmed that there will be no reunion for Season 8.

Season 8, which premiered on Sept. 6, was filled with drama and conflict among the cast, heightening anticipation for a reunion episode. Throughout the season, Chrishell Stause clashed with Nicole Young, who accused Stause’s close friend Emma Hernan of having an affair with a married man.

On Instagram, Chrishell Stause seemingly threatened to quit the show over the situation.

In addition to the drama involving Emma Hernan, Season 8 saw a heated feud between Bre Tiesi and Chelsea Lazkani.

Bre Tiesi confronted Chelsea Lazkani with allegations about her husband’s alleged infidelity, which intensified their ongoing feud. However, while Bre claimed after the show wrapped and during Season 8’s promotion that everyone on the cast was aware of these rumors beforehand, Chelsea now accuses Bre of deliberately bringing a person on camera to stir up drama and retaliate for comments made about Bre’s situation with Nick Cannon, who has 12 children with six different women.

Fans are also curious about newcomer Amanda Lynn, who first dropped the “tea” about Chelsea Lazkani’s husband to Bre. Just before Season 8 premiered, it was revealed that Amanda Lynn had a problematic past, including the frequent use of the n-word (with the hard “er”) on X (formerly Twitter) back in 2012. She has since apologized, stating:

“I’ve worked hard to grow and understand the impact of words. I take full responsibility and am truly sorry for my past mistake.”

Despite the ongoing drama, fans won’t get any resolution or formal updates soon, as Variety reports there’s no reunion planned for Season 8, and Chelsea even mentioned on Instagram Live recently that she had no idea whether a reunion was in the works.

As Selling Sunset remains a top hit on Netflix, holding the No. 2 spot in the U.S. Top 10 and No. 6 globally, the lack of a reunion episode only adds to the buzz around the show’s future.
