Shyne Says Diddy ‘Destroyed’ His Life But He Doesn’t ‘Take Any Satisfaction’ In Record Exec’s Indictment

Shyne Says Diddy ‘Destroyed’ His Life But He Doesn’t ‘Take Any Satisfaction’ In Record Exec’s Indictment
Shyne is speaking out following Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest and indictment.
In a recent interview, rapper-turned-politician Shyne addressed the arrest and indictment of his former colleague Diddy. Alluding to their tumultuous past, including his ten-year prison sentence following a 1999 shooting where he was reportedly the “fall guy” for Diddy, Shyne sought to distance himself from the music mogul:
“I was defending him [Diddy], and he turned around and called witnesses to testify against me. He pretty much sent me to prison. So that is the context by which you must always describe that relationship.”
He continued,
“Yes, I forgive and have moved on, but let’s not pretend I was in Miami for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is someone who destroyed my life. I moved on in the best interest of Belize because he was in a position at that time to offer scholarships and invest.”

However, regarding Diddy’s indictment, Shyne made it clear that he takes no pleasure in his former colleague’s misfortune, stating,
“I don’t take any joy or satisfaction with what he is going through.”
Regarding any involvement in Diddy’s current legal issues, Shyne asserted,
“I have nothing to do with Sean Combs on that level. Everything was strictly professional.”

This response follows the recent indictment of Diddy, who was charged with racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, among other crimes. Diddy was denied bail and is currently being held pending trial.
