Latto Says Her Estranged Father ‘Steals’ From Her & Claims She’s In The ‘Illuminati’
Rap star Latto is seemingly still at odds with her estranged dad.
The musician recently made a shady remark about her father, accusing him of stealing from her and making concerning claims about her alleged affiliation with the Illuminati.

Latto, real name Alyssa Stephens, made the comment on a recent Instagram story. Sharing a heartwarming post about a woman surprising her father, revealing herself as the pilot of the plane he was flying on, the 25-year-old celeb wrote as a caption alongside laughing emojis:
“Awww my dad steals from me & tell everyone I’m in the illuminati”

While the “Sunday Service” rapper didn’t elaborate any further, it’s been no secret that she hasn’t been on the greatest terms with her dad for some time. During a cover interview for XXL’s Winter 2023 issue, Latto opened up about her strained relationship with her dad Shayne Stephens, who was once her manager. Reflecting on regrets about her career at the time, she stated:
“I’ve had a lot of regrets… Mixing family and business, that’s like, one of my biggest regrets. I was introduced to everyone with my dad as my manager, and now we don’t even speak, so it’s like, I hate that.”

Later in the interview, the Grammy-nominated artist was asked what led to her and her father no longer speaking, to which she answered:
“Money. Industry s***. Ego s*** infiltrated by industry bulls***. They be saying [your parent as your manager] never works out anyway, so I wish I would have just never even did it.”

As you may know, Latto has had a steady growth in her career since breaking into the music industry as the star of Jermaine Dupri’s rap competition series Rap Game in 2016. Things between her and her father seemed to be going smoothly up until around 2020 when Latto shared during an interview with Angela Yee’s Lip Service that her dad’s role had been adjusted to co-manager and hinted that there was some tension behind the decision.
Latto insisted that her dad will “always” be in her life during the interview. However, it seems things have changed with time.
