Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries Arrested In Sex Trafficking Investigation
Mike Jeffries, the former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, was arrested on Tuesday (October 22) alongside his partner Matt Smith and another individual, Jim Jacobson, as part of a federal sex trafficking investigation led by the FBI and prosecutors in Brooklyn.
The investigation centers on allegations stemming from a civil lawsuit filed by alleged victims, who claim the trio sexually exploited young men at lavish parties they hosted in the U.S. and abroad, luring them under false pretenses of modeling opportunities.
One of the plaintiffs, David Bradberry, a former crewman on Bravo’s Below Deck, accused Jeffries of building Abercrombie’s success on the “over-sexualization of young men” and described the alleged activities as a “sex trafficking organization.”
Following the arrest, Jeffries’ attorney, Brian Bieber, stated,
“We will respond in detail to the allegations after the indictment is unsealed and when appropriate, but we plan to do so in the courthouse, not the media.”
