Azealia Banks Faces Backlash After Revealing Vote For Trump In 2024 Election
Azealia Banks is stirring up controversy after sharing that she voted for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
On X (formerly Twitter), Banks posted a photo of her ballot showing the circle filled in for Trump and running mate #JDVance, captioned:
“I voted for Trump yesterday.”

The responses have been scathing. One user wrote, “You and apparently a whole lot of people did,” referencing the support for Trump, who has won the 2024 presidential race with 277 electoral votes so far, according to the Associated Press.
Others were less forgiving, with one tweet stating,
“That’s too bad because you could benefit from the mental health services he’ll gladly cut, you looney toon.” Another added, “You thought you ate, but Trump doesn’t like black people INCLUDING you. Where’s the gag sis?”
As the backlash grows, many are questioning the implications of Banks’ decision, which mirrors a larger trend across the country, especially given Trump’s controversial history on racial issues and policies criticized for negatively impacting marginalized communities.
