Diddy Scores Small Legal Victory; Judge Rules Prosecutors Must Destroy Documents Found During Prison Raid
A judge has sided with Diddy’s defense following federal agents’ raid on his jail cell, ruling that prosecutors must destroy copies of 19 pages of legal notes obtained unlawfully.
During a hearing at MDC Brooklyn, Diddy’s attorneys argued that the raid violated his rights and involved privileged attorney-client material concerning his sex trafficking and racketeering trial.
The prosecution, while defending the raid as justified due to concerns about Diddy influencing witnesses, was ordered not to consult the seized material until a final decision is made. Diddy’s trial is set to begin on May 5.
