Major Health Insurance Companies Remove Leadership Pages After M*rder Of United Healthcare CEO
Following the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, several major health insurance companies have removed their executive leadership pages from public view.
Thompson was found fatally shot early Wednesday morning in NYC, in what police have described as a targeted attack. Authorities are still investigating the motive.
In response, UnitedHealthcare took down its “About Us” page, which previously listed leadership details, including Thompson. The page now redirects to the company’s homepage, and archived versions show it was accessible as of Wednesday morning.
Other health insurers have taken similar measures. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, which has faced backlash for recent policy changes regarding anesthesia charges, also removed its leadership page, redirecting it to a general “About Us” section. The page previously displayed executives like CEO Kim Keck and CFO Christina Fisher alongside 23 others.
The incident has raised questions about the safety and public visibility of high-profile corporate leaders.
