Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Cori Broadus Opens Up About Her 2021 Suic*de Attempt: ‘I Wanted The Pain To Go Away’

Cori Broadus, daughter of Snoop Dogg, is reflecting on her difficult journey with mental health and a suic*de attempt in 2021.

In an interview with Us Weekly, she shares,

“I’ve always wanted the pain to go away. You get to a place where you’re like, ‘Enough is enough.’”

Cori says that, at the time, ending her life seemed like the only way out, but being placed on a 5150 hold was an eye-opener:

“Being on a 5150 hold in the hospital, having supervision to go to the bathroom, [having] somebody sitting in a chair to make sure I don’t do anything, and then going to a mental facility, it was definitely an eye-opener for me.”

She states that her battle with lupus, which she’s dealt with since childhood, and the pandemic a few years ago both worsened her mental health:

“Once COVID hit, I was just in a dark, deep space.”

Now, Cori is speaking out to help others, explaining,

“So many people reached out to me saying they’re going through the same thing. All of that materialistic stuff doesn’t go with you when you die.”

She credits her fiancé, Wayne Duece, for being a source of support, sharing,

“I am so lucky to have Wayne, but still, we’re all going through something. It will be okay, and it does come with time.”
