Travis Scott, SZA, & Future Sued By Roc Nation Artist Victory Boyd Over Alleged Song Theft

Travis Scott, SZA, & Future Sued By Roc Nation Artist Victory Boyd Over Alleged Song Theft
Victory Boyd, a Roc Nation artist, has filed a lawsuit against Travis Scott, Future, and SZA, accusing the trio of copying key elements from her 2019 song “Like The Way It Sounds” in their track “Telekinesis.”
The song, which debuted in 2023, charted on the Hot 100 for 11 weeks.
Boyd claims she initially shared her song with Kanye West, who recorded it as “Ultrasounds” before allegedly passing it to Scott. From there, she alleges Scott shared it with Future and SZA, who contributed to “Telekinesis.”

The lawsuit also names Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, which partnered with Scott’s Cactus Jack for a line of watches promoted using “Telekinesis.” Boyd asserts she never authorized her work to be used in the campaign.
So far, none of the defendants have publicly addressed the allegations, and there have been no reports of a formal court response from either party.
