Lil Wayne’s Ex-Assistant Pushes For In-Person Deposition Over Alleged Assault Incident
Lil Wayne’s former personal assistant is demanding the rapper sit for a deposition regarding an alleged assault on a private jet that took place in 2022.
Andrew Williams, who worked for Wayne that year, filed a motion requesting the judge force Wayne to show up for questioning after his legal team refused to schedule a deposition:
“On November 20, 2024, [Andrew] made himself available for deposition at [Wayne’s] request. However, the courtesy of mutual availability has not been reciprocated by [Wayne].”
It should be noted that while Wayne’s lawyer offered a Zoom meeting, Andrew insisted on an in-person session.

Williams is suing Wayne for assault, battery, emotional distress, wrongful termination, and negligence after an alleged altercation on June 20, 2022. According to the lawsuit, Wayne punched Williams in the face after he intervened in an argument between the rapper and the pilot. Williams sought medical attention for his injuries. Wayne has denied any wrongdoing and claimed his actions were in self-defense.
