33-Year-Old US Woman Stranded In Pakistan After Failed Plan To Marry 19-Year-Old, Son Says She Is ‘Mentally Unstable’
A US woman is making headlines after traveling to Pakistan for a marriage that fell through.
According to reports, In October 2024, Onijah Andrew Robinson, 33, flew to Pakistan with plans of marrying 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon. However, her plans soon came to a screeching halt as the young man’s family refused to approve the marriage.
After the rejection, it’s reported that Robinson eventually made her way to Memon’s family home, only to find the property locked and vacated. She then allegedly staged a sit-in outside the house.
Reportedly, Robinson, whose tourist visa has now expired, refused help from a non-governmental organization (NGO). The org offered to take care of the expenses needed to get her back to America, but she allegedly decided to remain in Pakistan, capturing the attention of the local news.

Despite not taking help from the NGO, she demanded $100,000 and $20,000 from the government during a press conference, claiming her plan was to rebuild the country and do real estate.
Speaking on the entire ordeal, her son reportedly called her “mentally unstable” with impaired judgment. Allegedly he and his brother attempted to get Robinson back to America, purchasing her a return ticket, but she, once again, refused to accept the help.
In her latest video message, it’s reported that she had a change of heart and is now asking for assistance to return to America. She reportedly said:
“I would like you guys to book my ticket back to New York. Money is short right now, and I will appreciate it.”
