Wendy Williams Denies Having Frontotemporal Dementia, Claims She’s Alcohol-Free, & Distances Herself From Lawsuit Against A&E/Lifetime
Wendy Williams is speaking out about her health and the ongoing lawsuit with A&E and Lifetime.
During a newly aired appearance on The Breakfast Club, released amid reports that a judge had barred her from speaking to the media, Wendy gave an update on her health, revealing she’s alcohol-free and focused on staying “sharp and tight.” She also addressed rumors about her mental state, specifically the possibility of frontotemporal dementia, calling the idea “ridiculous.”
On the topic of the lawsuit filed by her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, against Lifetime and A&E Networks, Wendy made her position clear:
“I don’t want the lawsuit, I don’t want to be a part of it. I don’t want that kind of money. I’ve worked with Lifetime several times. Enough that I would love to do something with Lifetime again. They are good people to me, and I’m good people to them.”

The lawsuit is over the Where Is Wendy Williams? documentary, a Lifetime project. Wendy’s guardian claims she was exploited, paid just $82,000, and that her signature on the contract “does not appear to be genuine.”
Wendy has been under court-ordered guardianship since May 2022, due to health concerns, and her guardian has described her as “cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.” However, Wendy’s family and friends have disputed these claims and are actively fighting the guardianship, even launching a GoFundMe for legal fees.
