Doechii is on top of the world. She won Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal at the 2025 Grammys on Feb. 2, becoming only the third woman to earn the honor. This week, she also joined the Met Gala hosting committee.

Just a few years ago, Doechii’s future looked very different. A 2020 video of her has resurfaced, showing her talking about losing her job with no plan. She considered visiting record labels to ask about internships.
