Update: (April 14, 2025): Gayle King is happy to be back on the ground!
The famed journalist was among the six women sent into space this morning (April 14) on Blue Origin’s 11th human flight, NS-31. Once they made it safely back to Earth following the 10-minute expedition, Gayle celebrated by kissing the ground. Katy Perry, who was also on board the rocket, did the same. The ladies who rounded out the trip included billionaire Jeff Bezos’s bride-to-be, Lauren Sánchez, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, film producer Kerianne Flynn, and former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe.
