Snoop Dogg Honors Late Mother w/ New Gospel Album ‘Altar Call’
Snoop Dogg is honoring his late mother, Beverly Tate, with “Altar Call,” a new gospel compilation album dropping April 27 via Death Row Records—her birthday.
“The spirit of my mother will forever live within me,” Snoop Dogg said. “This album is a reflection of what she has taught me to use my voice and my platform to spread love and heal the world. Just another chapter out of the “Bible of Love.”
Executive produced by Snoop Dogg and serving as a sequel to his 2018 gospel project, “Bible of Love,” “Altar Call” features 21 tracks with artists like Jamie Foxx, Jazze Pha, October London, and the debut of the Death Row Mass Choir.
John P. Kee leads the album’s first single, “Mother I Miss You,” out April 18. “He has always honored her in such a way that inspired those that knew him,” Kee shared. “Mother Beverly, we will never forget you.”
