Katy Perry Responds To Online Hate, Calls Herself A ‘Human Piñata’ Amid Space Trip Backlash
Katy Perry has faced harsh online criticism following her space trip.
The Blue Origin voyage ignited backlash, with some calling the trip pointless. Her recent tour performances, particularly her dancing and vocals, also sparked ridicule.
In response, Katy Perry’s fans erected a supportive billboard in Times Square, affirming, “Know that you are safe, seen and celebrated.”
Katy Perry addressed the hate and her fans, writing on Instagram, “When the ‘online’ world tries to make me a human piñata, I take it with grace and send them love,” recognizing that much of the negativity stems from people’s pain.
She added, “No one can make you believe something about yourself that you don’t already believe about yourself,” a piece of advice from her therapist that helps her navigate criticism.
Reflecting on her bond with fans, she concluded, “I keep looking to the light” amid the challenges.
