Jay-Z Claims Attorney Tony Buzbee Instructed His Employees To Edit Rapper’s Wikipedia Pages To Tarnish His Image Amid Ongoing Legal Battle
Jay-Z isn’t letting up.
In a newly amended defamation suit, Jay-Z accuses Texas attorney Tony Buzbee of instructing his staff to edit Wikipedia pages in a way that boosted his own image while damaging Jay-Z and Roc Nation.
“In violation of Wikipedia’s rules, Buzbee directed his employees to edit Wikipedia pages to enhance Buzbee’s image and damage Mr. Carter’s and Roc Nation’s reputations. Users with an IP address directly linked to the Buzbee Firm made over 100 positive edits to Buzbee’s Wikipedia page,” the suit claims.
The lawsuit argues these actions were part of a broader strategy to pressure Jay-Z into settling out of fear that his partnerships in sports and entertainment would be jeopardized: “After Defendants filed Doe’s lawsuit, the media reported that other businesses could end their deals with Roc Nation… This is exactly the result Defendants intended, banking on the fact that Mr. Carter would fear the reputational assassination, cave and pay.”

If you recall, Jay-Z is suing an anonymous woman who withdrew her r@pe accusation against him in February, claiming she admitted to being pressured to lie in an “evil conspiracy” to extort him. The lawsuit also names Tony Buzbee, his co-counsel David Fortney, and now adds attorney Antigone Curis, who is also representing accusers in ongoing lawsuits against Diddy.
