Hoda Kotb In Talks To Replace Kelly Clarkson For Daytime Talk Show After Her ‘Today Show’ Exit
Hoda Kotb might be getting her own show.
Amid rumors that Kelly Clarkson is planning to walk away from “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, sources tell The Post that NBC is lining up potential replacements and Hoda’s name is “part of that list.”
“There’s a long list of names and Hoda is part of that list. NBC never wanted Hoda to leave. The question is, would Hoda want to do it?” the insider said.
If you recall, Hoda Kotb left the “Today Show” in January after more than 20 years with the network.
With Kelly Clarkson’s contract ending next year, the insider says her exit could depend on how well her upcoming ninth studio album and Las Vegas residency perform: “If the album doesn’t do well, she might want to keep her talk show.”
Sources also say Kelly Clarkson wants more time with her two kids, River Rose and Remy. “Kelly’s number one priority is her children, and they always will be. The show is grueling… and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.”
