Spirit Airlines To Offer Seats w/ Extra Leg Room Starting This Summer
Spirit Airlines is aiming to make travel more comfortable for fliers with the introduction of premium extra legroom seats!
The airline recently announced that it will begin offering these new seating options across the majority of its fleet by mid-summer. Rana Ghosh, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Spirit Airlines, shared the following in a statement:
“Spirit’s new premium options offer travelers exceptional value, and we’re creating even more opportunities for guests to experience them with our new extra-legroom seating option.”
The new seats will be part of Spirit’s Go Comfy fare bundle, which previously included a blocked middle seat in standard legroom rows. With this update, Go Comfy will instead offer seats with more space, upgrading from a 28-inch pitch to a 32-inch pitch.

In addition, the bundle will continue to include perks like one carry-on bag, no change or cancellation fees, priority boarding, reserved overhead bin space, a snack, and a non-alcoholic beverage.
Some upgraded seats are already on sale, and Spirit says the first flights with extra legroom rows will launch on July 9.
