Cam Newton Responds To Criticism That He’s Creating ‘Broken Homes’: ‘It Takes Something Out Of Me’
Cam Newton is reflecting on criticism surrounding his untraditional family dynamic and the idea that he’s “creating broken homes.”
While speaking to celebrity pastor Jamal Bryant on his Let’s Be Clear podcast, Cam opened up about the emotional toll of public backlash, specifically after he expressed interest in having more children, despite not being married. He shared:
“It took something out of me when… people say I created broken homes, and I’m just trying to make my wrongs right.”

Cam, who has six biological children and two stepchildren he claims as his own, admitted that his public profile makes the criticism even harder to bear, and he often feels there’s no escape from the scrutiny.
Appearing to reflect on his viral conversation with Dr. Cheyenne Bryant, who suggested that his approach might be unintentionally harmful, Cam alluded that her perspective helped him see that even with good intentions, he may not have made the best choices, noting that his kids “didn’t ask for this.”
What are your thoughts on Cam’s situation?
