Pastor Jamal Bryant Calls On Cardi B To Join Target Boycott After She Shares Photo Of Her Shopping In The Store: ‘Many Follow Your Lead’
Pastor Jamal Bryant is appealing to Cardi B with a message of “love, not judgment,” after the rapper posted a photo of herself shopping at Target.
In a heartfelt Instagram message, Bryant wrote, “Dear @iamcardib, Grace and Peace to you! I come to you with a chest full of love,” urging her to support the boycott against Target for rolling back its DEI efforts under political pressure.
“I felt certain…you were probably unaware,” he said, emphasizing her influence and encouraging her to visit targetfast.org. “Many follow your lead.”
Bryant added, “You should know the movement has support…from the Latino community and more specifically, workers,” noting Cardi’s identity and reach. “This is the most effective boycott since the Montgomery bus boycott.”
Though some applauded the approach, others criticized him for not contacting her privately. Cardi has not yet responded.
