Search Continues For Girl, 10, Who Went Missing While Swimming On Family Vacation + Mother Details Final Moments

Ten-year-old Trinity Eslinger disappeared while swimming off the coast of Destin, Florida during a family trip, sparking a massive search effort.

Trinity was last seen in the water around 7:30 p.m. on June 13 after she, her mom’s boyfriend Victor Cobbs, and his son were caught in a sudden current near East Jetty.

Cobbs recalled the terrifying incident in a live stream. He said he tried to stay calm and instructed the children to walk back to shore. But Trinity, who didn’t know how to float, was quickly overcome by the water.

“She slipped away,” he said in a statement, remembering the chaos and the heartbreaking moment Trinity’s mother, Raven Cush, rushed into the waves to save her.

Multiple agencies, including the Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife, joined the search using drones, dive teams, and helicopters.

“Everything was happening so fast,” Cobbs said.

A GoFundMe was launched to help with search costs, including boat rentals and travel for family members now aiding in the search.

Authorities say operations are ongoing with patrol teams, dive units, and aerial surveillance still active.

Her family continues to plead for help, urging locals to search nearby shores and waters as the desperate hunt for answers continues. Raven also shared the tragic final moments before her daughter was swept away.

“The current [had] me too but I remember not to panic to just hold my breath and tried to float. When they pulled me out the water and I didn’t see you I lost it. I should have went back in my body just gave out,” she wrote in an emotional Facebook post.

Prayers to this family during such a tragic time.
