Rihanna’s Father Ronald Fenty’s Cause Of Death Revealed: Pancreatic Cancer, Respiratory Failure & Pneumonia Cited In Official Report
Officials have confirmed the cause of d*ath for Ronald Fenty, Rihanna’s father, nearly one month after his passing.
Fenty d*ed on May 30 at age 70 in Los Angeles following “brief illnesses.” According to a d*ath certificate obtained by TMZ, he suffered from acute respiratory failure, pancreatic cancer, aspiration pneumonia, acute renal failure, and acute tubular necrosis.
Fenty was surrounded by family in his final days, including Rihanna, who was reportedly in the car that brought him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on May 28. Born in Barbados, he and Monica Braithwaite raised Rihanna, Rajad, and Rorrey Fenty, along with three half-siblings from previous relationships.
Though their relationship had ups and downs—including Rihanna suing Fenty in 2019 for allegedly misusing her name—the singer once said, “He taught me everything… and I was able to close that gap with him.” The case was dismissed in 2021.
Rihanna is currently pregnant with her third child with A$AP Rocky.
Prayers to their family during this difficult time.
