Candace Owens Claims Trump Urged Her To Stop Claiming French First Lady Brigitte Macron Is Transgender, But She Refused His Request
Candace Owens claims Donald Trump personally asked her to stop accusing France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron of being transgender — a request she says she flatly rejected.
Speaking on Tucker Carlson’s podcast, Owens said Trump called her after French President Emmanuel Macron allegedly reached out to request Trump intervene. Owens had been promoting her viral podcast and YouTube series “Becoming Brigitte,” which claims Macron’s wife was born male and transitioned in her 30s — an assertion the Macrons strongly deny.
“They sent a letter demanding a retraction,” Owens said, referencing a formal request from the Macrons, which she ignored. That led to a defamation lawsuit alleging her content caused “reputational and economic harm.”
Owens cited a French journalist as her source but offered no direct proof. Meanwhile, the White House declined to confirm or deny Trump’s alleged call.
“We do not comment on the President’s private conversations that may or may not have occurred,” an official told TMZ.
