Snoop Dogg Criticizes LGBTQ+ Representation In Kid Movies: ‘They’re Putting It Everywhere’
Rapper Snoop Dogg isn’t here for children’s films that have LGBTQ+ representation.
In a recent discussion for the It’s Giving podcast, Snoop Dogg opened up about being “scared to go to the movies” due to his concerns about there being too much queer representation in the media. He said:
“What you see is what you see, and they’re putting it everywhere.”
Snoop recalled taking his grandchildren to see 2022’s Lightyear and being caught off guard that the film features a relationship between two women.
“Well, my grandson, in the middle of the movie is like, ‘Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman!'”

Snoop shared that he “just came to watch the goddamn movie” and didn’t know how to explain the family dynamic to his grandson. He continued, noting the situation, “f*cked me up. I’m like, scared to go to the movies. Y’all throwing me in the middle of sh*t that I don’t have an answer for.”
And later added:
“These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”
