The trailer for Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin’s upcoming movie Ruth & Boaz is officially here!
Netflix dropped the trailer today (Aug. 28), which highlights the fiery chemistry between stars Serayah and Tyler Lepley in this romantic reimagining of the biblical love story.
A synopsis of the film reads: “Ruth & Boaz is a contemporary version of the story of Ruth and Boaz, one of the most iconic love stories in the Bible. Set in Tennessee, Ruth & Boaz tells the story of a young woman who escapes the Atlanta music scene to care for an elderly widowed woman, and in the process finds the love of her life and gains the mother she never had.”

Directed by Alanna Brown, the movie is produced by DeVon Franklin and Tyler Perry Studios through their creative partnership with Netflix. The team is set to develop faith-based films under a multi-year, multi-picture first-look deal.
Ruth & Boaz will be available to stream September 26.
