Excruciating Pain’ He’s Ever Felt
#DeionSanders is holding nothing back as he speaks on his private battle with cancer.
As reported, the Hall of Famer and Colorado Buffaloes head coach revealed he was diagnosed with high-risk, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer earlier this year after a routine CAT scan.

He opted for bladder removal surgery just nine days after his diagnosis, and described the recovery as excruciating: “I remember just on the ground in the bathroom,” Deion told #MichaelStrahan. “And I’m just screaming because it was so much pain.”
Now cancer-free, Deion continues to face some challenges, including nighttime incontinence, but emphasizes the importance of sharing his story. “Men never talk about stuff like this… This is real. This is what I’m dealing with,” he said, adding, “I choose to rise up, man, not to stay down. We all got somethin’ we fightin’. But you can overcome it.”
