For those who missed it: a woman is suing the hip-hop producer, accusing him of r@ping her in a #BeverlyHills hotel room in 2016. The alleged victim, Vanessa LeMaistre, said during her testimony on Tuesday (Sept. 23), she only decided to pursue legal action eight years later during a therapy session in Peru while “high on the psychedelic plant Ayahuasca.” Journalist Meghann Cuniff reports that LeMaistre stated, “I recall being instructed from the medicine that this is the root of your issues … that I needed to address this, seek justice and contact lawyers.”
_____________
LeMaistre also explained that she didn’t hallucinate on #Ayahuasca and has long believed she was incapable of consenting, saying, “I didn’t know consent means when someone says no or they’re not able to consent, that that still is r@pe.” She claimed that during the night of the alleged incident, she took half a Xanax pill and was given a liquor shot by #Metro that left her “completely incapacitated.”
________
#MetroBoomin, real name Leland Wayne, has denied the accusations. His attorney dismissed the case as a shakedown and said LeMaistre sued because she’s angry “my client stopped giving her attention after the last time they had s3x.” He went on, claiming she continued to text the producer several times after the alleged a$$ault in hopes of seeing him again.
The trial continues today and is expected to end by Friday (Sept. 26).
