Busta Rhymes Denies A$$aulting Former Assistant & Forcing Employee To Unclog Toilet by Hand + Calls Allegations ‘False & Malicious’ In Countersuit
Busta Rhymes is firing back at explosive claims made by his former assistant, saying the accusations are completely false and meant to destroy his name.
According to AllHipHop, in a defamation countersuit filed October 13 in Brooklyn federal court, Busta and his company Starbus LLC denied all allegations made by ex-assistant Dashiel Gables, who accused the rapper of a$$ault, underpayment, and creating a hostile work environment.
“The foregoing statements are statements of purported fact, not opinion or protected rhetorical hyperbole, and they are false,” Busta’s attorney J. Patrick Butler wrote, adding that the rapper “did not assault or batter Gables” or force any employee to perform degrading tasks.
The filing claims Gables acted with “actual malice” by spreading fabricated stories, including one about an assistant allegedly unclogging a toilet with his bare hand. Busta is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, repayment of legal fees, and a public retraction of the claims.
Do you think Busta was really a horrible boss or was it all a misunderstanding?
