Comedian Gerald Huston Says He’s “Traumatized” After Alleged Papoose & Claressa Shields Attack, Plans to Sue
Gerald Huston — a comedian known for prank-style videos where he purposely calls celebrities the wrong names — says he’s now considering filing a lawsuit after an altercation involving Papoose and Claressa Shields.
Huston claims the incident happened in Las Vegas in early September, just after the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence?Crawford fight. He says what’s been shared publicly is “twisted,” and that he’s now “been talking to a lawyer and counsel just because of the lies that have been told about me and spread about my name.”
According to Huston, Shields “was wrong in her recount of the altercation… alleging Papoose never got in his face and never smacked him with a book after he jokingly called Shields ‘Serena Williams.’” Instead, Huston claims “the rapper hurled a stack of books at him from a distance.” Police were reportedly present for the incident, and while Huston “decided not to press charges at the time,” now he’s looking into “a defamation claim … in addition to a potential assault one.”
Huston also said:
“I was assaulted, and they admitted they assaulted me online … but I don’t do my videos for this reason. That’s why I didn’t wanna mention it ’cause I don’t do my videos to get the wrong reaction out of somebody and be like ‘oh let me sue you now.’”
He says he sustained “a gash on his nose” from the incident, and added with a bit of dark humor: he’s now “been afraid of any types of books ever since the incident.”
*do you think he can win this lawsuit?
