[UPDATE] Girlfriend Of The Late Dallas Cowboys Player Marshawn Kneeland Is Pregnant w/ His Child, Coach Reveals
Brian Schottenheimer, head coach of the #DallasCowboys, revealed today (Nov. 12) that the late #MarshawnKneeland’s girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, is pregnant with their first child.
“She’s pregnant, so we want to make sure she’s taken care of and the baby’s taken care of for the rest of their lives,” Schottenheimer told reporters. He added, “Our guys, it’s very important to them and to us.” The team has also set up the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund to support Catalina and the unborn child.
As reported, Marshawn, just 24 years old, d!ed from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound last week. Troopers attempted to stop his vehicle for a traffic violation, but when he refused, the pursuit ended with his car abandoned and crashed. According to dispatch audio, Catalina warned officers he was “armed and has a history of mental illness,” and “will end it all.”
Breaking her silence in her first interview since his passing, Catalina shared that Marshawn’s family is in the early stages of planning his funeral service. She added, “I’m grieving hard right now. It will be a long time before I’ll feel ready to talk at any length.”
