“Girls Trip 2” Is Officially Happening, Tiffany Haddish Says Filming Starts Summer
#GirlsTrip 2 is officially on the way!
Over the weekend, #TiffanyHaddish gave fans a long-awaited update about the sequel, revealing when filming is expected to begin and where the cast might be headed.
Speaking with PEOPLE at its Drive-By F1 Party in #LasVegas, the actress and comedian hinted at the group’s next destination, sharing, “I don’t know exactly where we’re going, but I know it’s somewhere exotic and somewhere we don’t normally go, but we should go as much as possible.”
She also confirmed the timeline for production, adding, “We’re supposed to start shooting this summer.” Haddish will reportedly reunite with co-stars #ReginaHall, #QueenLatifah, and #JadaPinkettSmith for the sequel. The original Girls Trip, directed by Malcolm D. Lee and produced by #WillPacker, was released in the summer of 2017 and became a critical and box-office success, earning multiple nominations and awards.
