Amazon has already staked their claim in a major way in many entertainment industries, and the big tech company is now ready to take on the live audio market with the release of the new radio app Amp. The app will reportedly allow people to create live “radio shows” where they can DJ by taking callers and playing tracks from the apps catalog of tens of millions of licensed songs.

As part of the apps initial launch, Amp revealed a slew of upcoming shows, including the revival of 39-year-old rap artist Nicki Minaj’s popular radio show “Queen Radio”.

“Queen Radio”, which originally premiered on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio station in August of 2018, released 17 episodes before Nicki announced her popular show would be leaving Apple and finding a new home in December of last year.

Other shows announced by Amp will come from rapper Pusha T, singer-songwriter Tinashe, electronic artist and violinist Lindsey Stirling, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, rap artist Lil Yachty, rapper Big Boi; well-known social media personalities Tefi Pessoa and Nikita Dragun; popular radio hosts Zach Sang, Kat Corbett, Christian James Hand, and Guy Raz; and writers from music and culture publication The FADER, according to Amazon.
