According to the police, the altercation began as they were exiting a school shuttle, and Forestine allegedly stepped on Bryant’s foot. After he refused to apologize, Forestine’s girlfriend allegedly “mushed” Bryant. The #Morehouse student is accused of stepping in, “lifting the victim off the ground with his arm around her neck and swinging her around.” Footage of the incident seemingly shows him yelling, “I’m not the one,” and “I should k!ll you, right,” before bystanders can pull his arms off Braynt’s neck. Forestine was arrested and is being held in the Fulton County Jail on charges of aggravated a$$ault and terrori$tic threats.

In a letter, Morehouse President F. DuBois Bowman emphasized the school’s expectations: “Morehouse Men are expected to embody the values of compassion and moral discipline.” He added, “It is even more imperative that we all maintain an unwavering commitment to upholding these core principles.” #CAU’s President George T. French Jr. also weighed in, saying he is “deeply concerned” by the “disgusting display of violence,” and that “violence of any kind, particularly against women, is intolerable, unacceptable, and has no place on our campuses.”
