Nicki Minaj’s $20 Million Mansion May Be Forced Into Sale to Pay $503K Judgment Over Security-Guard Assault Case, Judge Says
A judge in Los Angeles is set to authorize the possible sale of Nicki Minaj’s Hidden Hills, California, mansion—valued at about $20 million—if the rapper and her husband fail to satisfy a roughly $500,000 court judgment from a security-guard lawsuit.
The lawsuit stems from an incident during a 2019 concert in Frankfurt, Germany, where the guard—Thomas Weidenmüller—alleges that Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, sucker-punched him in the jaw after Minaj reportedly hurled her shoe at him and verbally berated him. The guard broke his jaw, underwent multiple surgeries (including insertion of five plates) and obtained a default judgment of $503,318 after Minaj and Petty did not respond to the lawsuit. In court filings, the guard’s legal team pointed to Minaj’s reported net worth ($150 million plus) to underscore her ability to pay, stating:
“Minaj is a global music superstar … there is little doubt that she is highly capable of paying the judgment in full.”
Minaj has not publicly commented on the case to date. If the property sale is approved, it will mark a rare enforcement of a civil judgment that could involve seizing and selling a high-profile celebrity’s primary residence.
