21 Savage says there’s still a chance Drake and Metro Boomin could reunite creatively, claiming Drake has already tried to mend things behind the scenes. The rapper shared the update while promoting his upcoming album and discussing what he described as lingering tension between the former collaborators.
According to 21 Savage, he spoke about the situation during a Dec. 11 appearance on Perspektives, telling host Big Bank that Metro “felt a certain type of way about something,” though he didn’t explain what triggered the fallout.
21 Savage said Drake acknowledged fault and tried to address it directly. “Drake told me and Metro that he understood where he was wrong,” he said, describing Drake’s approach as sincere.
He also claimed Drake didn’t stop at one conversation. “He apologized multiple times,” 21 said, adding that Metro’s stance has shifted since then: “Now, Metro is kind of more open minded.”
While 21 Savage didn’t declare the relationship fully repaired, he suggested the door isn’t closed and predicted they may collaborate again soon. “I feel like in the future, the near future, we’ll see them work together again,” he said.
