Drake Responds After Hot 97 Cancels ‘Ebro in the Morning,’ Sparks Reaction From Peter Rosenberg
Drake is weighing in after Hot 97 officially announced the end of Ebro in the Morning, and his response quickly set off reactions across hip-hop media. Shortly after the cancellation news broke, Drake replied publicly, prompting commentary from longtime co-host Peter Rosenberg.
As previously reported, Hot 97 confirmed that Ebro in the Morning—hosted by Ebro Darden, Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez—was canceled, marking the end of a major era at the New York radio station. The announcement followed months of tension surrounding on-air commentary and public backlash involving Drake and others. Rosenberg appeared to address the situation in a pointed social media post, writing that “behavior like this” has made it “impossible for people to defend the wack sh*t that he does,” before offering a sarcastic holiday greeting. He went on to suggest that the show’s end could ultimately be freeing, hinting that the team may grow without being tied to what he described as a company that’s been “completely lost” since purchasing the station. As of now, Hot 97 has not announced a replacement for Ebro in the Morning.
