The media personality has signed a three-year extension that ends months of speculation about whether he would retire. Announced on The Howard Stern Show, the deal keeps Stern’s iconic program with the satellite radio provider and gives him more personal flexibility. Stern addressed fans directly, saying, “I am happy to announce that I have figured out a way to have it all … More free time and continuing to be on the radio. Yes, we are coming back for three years.”
According to TMZ, this extension follows his previous 2020 deal, which reportedly ranged between $450 million and $500 million. Rumors swirled for months about Stern stepping away from the show, with a source claiming, “While Sirius is planning to make him an offer, they don’t intend for him to take it. … there’s no way they can keep paying his salary.” However, everything clearly worked out for #HowardStern in the end!
