Vice President JD Vance Praises Nicki Minaj After Speaking At Conservative Political Conference AmFest As She Faces Fan Backlash
#NickiMinaj is receiving her flowers from Vice President JD Vance.
The vice president had nothing but praise for Nicki Minaj following her recent conversation with Erika Kirk at AmericaFest, the annual convention hosted by Turning Point USA. Taking to X this morning (Dec. 22), #JDVance shared his reaction to Nicki’s remarks, writing, “Nicki Minaj said something at Amfest that was really profound. I’m paraphrasing, but she said, ‘just because I want little black girls to think they’re beautiful doesn’t mean I need to put down little girls with blonde hair and blue eyes.’” He added, “We all got wrapped up over the last few years in zero sum thinking. This was because the people who think they rule the world pit us against one another. @NICKIMINAJ rejects that. We all should.”
During the discussion,Erika, wife of late right-wing commentator Charlie Kirk, and Nicki also touched on politics. The rapper praised Vance and Donald Trump, criticized California Governor #GavinNewsom, and suggested that white women are now experiencing reverse discrimination amid increased celebration and visibility of Black women’s beauty. Since the event, Nicki has faced backlash from fans and members of the public, with many expressing disappointment over her decision to attend.
