Anthony Joshua’s Trainer Kevin “Latif” Ayodele Remembered As $180K Is Raised To Continue His Humanitarian Work After Fatal Car Crash
Loved ones and supporters have united to ensure Kevin “Latif” Ayodele’s legacy lives on.
A fundraiser launched in the wake of Latif’s untimely de@th has already raised more than $180,000 to honor the longtime trainer and friend of boxer #AnthonyJoshua. The campaign, started by SPOT Project, aims to build a mosque and a borehole in Latif’s name as a way to extend his community impact. On the campaign page, organizers wrote, “I’m absolutely shocked that he d!ed today and I want to be part of the people who help keep his legacy alive.”
The fundraising effort comes after a tragic car accident in #Nigeria that claimed Latif’s life along with another member of Anthony’s team, Sina Ghami. The Lexus SUV they were in struck a stationary truck on the side of the road, and Anthony, who was also in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries. The outpouring of support and donations reflects both the shock at the sudden loss and the community’s desire to preserve Latif’s spirit through meaningful projects in his honor.
