Nicki Minajs Father Disputes Violent Allegations, Says She ‘Grossly Exaggerated’

The father of Nicki Minaj (real name Onika Tanya Maraj) is none too pleased and a bit hurt about the recent comments that Nicki’s made about him to the media. According to Nicki, while growing up, her father was an abusive drug addict, who at one point, burned up their home. In Nicki’s recent Nightline interview (below), she explained just how violent he was, during her childhood. Her comments begin at the 3:28 mark.

Meanwhile, sources tell TMZ, that Nicki’s comments about her father are ‘grossly exaggerated’ and that her father, Omar, admits he had anger issues, but not to the extreme that Nicki shared above. He’s also hurt that Nicki felt that he was a ‘monster’ and that she shared their family issues to the media.
