‘The Blind Side’ Actor Quinton Aaron Suffered Spinal Stroke, Family Confirms + Says He’s Alert & Recovering
Quinton Aaron is recovering after suffering a spinal stroke, his family has confirmed to TMZ, shedding light on the health crisis that led to the “The Blind Side” actor’s hospitalization.
Relatives say Aaron has been in the hospital for about a week and, despite the seriousness of the situation, is now “alert, aware and recovering.”
In a statement released Thursday, his family shared, “We acknowledge that you’ve heard about Quinton Aaron‘s condition. We appreciate the overwhelming love, support and prayers that Quinton has received over the past few days from his fans, the public, and our concerned community.”
They clarified, “To update everyone, he had a spinal stroke. He is alert, aware and recovering.”
The family emphasized that any official updates will come only from “their appointed chosen spokesperson and life long friend Liana Mendoza,” adding that outside information is “not to be taken as factual information.”
They closed with, “Thank you once again for the outpouring of love. We send Peace & Love.”
Spinal strokes happen when blood flow to the spinal cord is blocked, often by clots or bleeding.
Prayers to Quinton on his recovery.
