Lil Jon Confirms De@th of Son Nathan Smith After Body Found in Georgia Pond
Lil Jon has confirmed the heartbreaking death of his son, Nathan Smith, after authorities discovered a body in a pond following a multi-day search in Georgia, according to People.
In an emotional statement shared on Instagram, the rapper said he and Nathan’s mother, Nicole Smith, were “extremely heartbroken” by the loss of their son. Lil Jon described Nathan as “the kindest human being you would ever meet,” adding that he was caring, thoughtful, passionate, and deeply devoted to his family and friends.
Nathan was a graduate of NYU and had built a promising career as a music producer, artist, and engineer. His parents said they were incredibly proud of him and found comfort in knowing they expressed their love to him during their last moments together.
Police confirmed that Nathan had been reported missing days earlier, prompting an extensive search involving multiple law enforcement agencies and emergency response teams. His body was ultimately recovered from a pond in the area, though authorities have not publicly released additional details surrounding his death.
In their statement, Lil Jon and Nicole thanked the Milton Police Department, Sandy Springs Police, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia K-9 Search and Recovery teams, fire departments, and volunteers who assisted in the search efforts.
The family has not shared funeral arrangements at this time. They continue to ask for privacy as they grieve the devastating loss of their son. We send our condolences to their family and friends ??
