Bill Bellamy Admits He ‘Fumbled’ Chance To Turn Friendship w/ Janet Jackson Into Something More

In another life, #BillBellamy and #JanetJackson might have been the ultimate ’90s it couple.

The comedian and actor recently told The Art of Dialogue that he “fumbled” the chance to turn their friendship into something romantic. “I think I fumbled the Janet Jackson situation because of the friendship,” Bellamy admitted. “I never wanted to cross the line… because I felt like she was actually really a good friend of mine.”

Bellamy, who worked as an MTV VJ earlier in his career and often interviewed Janet during the ’90s, said the chemistry was undeniable. He recalled how much fun he had joining her on tour and noted that while people told him she was “feeling him” and that she would flirt “all the time,” he ultimately didn’t want to risk their friendship for a romance.
