Boyz II Men singer #WanyaMorris didn’t hold back when addressing allegations that he dated Brandy when she was a minor. His comments came during a 2014 interview with The Breakfast Club, where he said Brandy was 16/17 when they “did the thing.” Wanya noted he wasn’t much older than the Moesha star and that “she was old enough to get it.” He added, “It was a relationship, it grew and then it un-grew.” However, in 2021, Wanya, now 52, offered a different account, saying he and Brandy were just friends in the beginning and that things didn’t blossom into an “intimate connection” until she was of age.

Speculation over his involvement with Brandy, 47, has resurfaced following the release of her memoir, Phases. In the book, Brandy writes that they had to “sneak around” due to her age, revealing they agreed to “claim we were waiting until my eighteenth birthday before pursuing any romantic connection.”

She adds, “I believe he took advantage.”
