NBA Player Jaden Ivey’s Wife Denies His Claim That She ‘Abandoned’ Him After He Was Let Go From The Chicago Bulls Following Anti-LGBTQ Rant: ‘Don’t Be Deceived’
#JadenIvey’s wife is speaking out after receiving hate messages from his fans. After being waived by the #ChicagoBulls, Jaden claimed during a livestream that his wife, Caitlyn Ivey, had stopped communicating with him, adding, ”those who are my family members betraying because of what I spoke.” However, Caitlyn shut down that narrative, disputing what she called a “lie” and insisting the two were still in contact. “We were communicating all morning of that day,” she wrote on Instagram, adding, “People say things for attention, do not be deceived.”
Caitlyn also revealed she’s been getting hate messages from those supporting Jaden over his claim. Addressing the criticism, she pushed back firmly, writing, “If you know me you know I have never once abandoned that man through all the trials.. and I still haven’t now.” She also made it clear there’s more happening behind the scenes, adding, “There is obviously a lot more going on, so leave your conspiracies and guesses to yourselves.”
The off-court tension follows backlash over Jaden’s controversial remarks about other NBA players and the league’s support of Pride Month, which appears to have played a role in his release.
He and Caitlyn both attended #Purdue, got engaged in 2022, and while the timeline of their marriage remains unclear, they now share three children: Noah, 3, Shiloh, 2, and Isaiah, 1.
