Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS Sued By Ex-Employee Who Claims Workers Were Denied Overtime Pay, Meal Breaks & Full Wages

Legal trouble is mounting for Kim Kardashian’s shapewear company after a former employee accused SKIMS of violating California labor laws in a newly filed lawsuit.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a man named David Knight filed a lawsuit against SKIMS claiming the company failed to properly compensate him during his employment between October 2025 and December 2025 in California. Knight alleges he and other workers were denied overtime pay despite allegedly working more than eight hours a day and more than 40 hours per week.

The lawsuit also claims employees were not provided legally required meal breaks or rest periods. In addition, Knight alleges SKIMS failed to pay at least minimum wage for all hours worked and did not issue all wages owed following discharge or resignation.

Knight is seeking class-action status, arguing that other employees experienced similar alleged labor violations and should be included in the lawsuit.

Kim Kardashian is not personally listed as a defendant in the case.

SKIMS has strongly denied the allegations. In a statement issued to TMZ, a representative for the company said, “SKIMS denies the allegations in this complaint. This is a boilerplate filing, the same recycled template plaintiffs’ firms send to employers across California, fishing for a quick settlement.”

The statement continued, “We have no interest in settling claims without merit. SKIMS is and always has been firmly committed to compliance with California wage and hour law, and we look forward to demonstrating that in court.”
