Tiger Woods Back On Social Media After Seeking Treatment Post-DUI Arrest
#TigerWoods is back on social media following his latest legal troubles.
The golf legend popped back up with a #MemorialDay message shared to his IG Stories after completing treatment tied to his DUI arrest. In the post, Tiger paid tribute to fallen service members and honored his late father, Earl Woods, noting he “was a Special Forces operator with two tours in Vietnam and 20 years of service.” Earl passed away 20 years ago, in May 2006, after suffering a heart attack. He was 74.
Tiger had been quiet online since March, when he was involved in a rollover crash while driving his Range Rover on a two-lane road near his home in #JupiterIsland, Florida. Authorities claimed they found “two white pills inside [his] side pant pocket,” later identified as hydrocodone. Tiger first announced he was seeking treatment shortly after the crash, sharing, “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.” He pleaded not guilty to a DUI charge, and the case remains ongoing, with his next court appearance scheduled for July 7.
